A lovely medium ruby color greets you upon pouring, followed by a delicate perfume of rose petals, cherry, cola and vanilla giving way to something slightly mushroomy as the wine gets more air. In the mouth, at first softly, flavors of darker cherry, cranberry and strawberry. As the wine opens up the flavors become more bold and dense, hinting at strawberry, apple skin and white pepper, leading you to a finish with the most delicate hint of tannin and mouthwatering acidity. Pair this wine with grilled prawns, wrapped in bacon if you need a little decadence.
