The 2018 Sonoma Valley Pinot Noir starts with an earthy note followed by the sweet notes of rose essence and currant liqueur. Notes of tea leaves, dried cherry and vanilla make a complex potpourri. The fruit flavors of cherry and plum are accented with flavors of cola, anise, pine needles and pipe tobacco. The wine has a silky finish with slightly grippy tannins.
